Join Wyn Ericson for a one day, in-depth, step-by-step journey into his portrait painting process. He will walk you through the colors, techniques, and approaches he uses to create his award-winning portraits, breaking down each element to help you refine your skills. Space is limited so register now!
Participants bring their own art supplies, including paper, brushes, and watercolor paint, for use during the workshop. Here is Wyn's recommended Supply List.
About Wyn Ericson
Wyn Ericson is an award-winning watercolor artist based in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated in 2003 from California State University Fullerton where he majored in Art emphasizing drawing and painting. After 15 years of teaching art, Wyn became a full-time artist in 2019 focusing on florals, landscapes, and portraits. Most recently, Wyn won the 1st prize International Watercolor Master 2024 contest, was nominated for the people's choice award in Plein Air Magazine and won 1st place at the Louisville Urban Plein Air contest.His work has been published in Newspapers, Magazines and T.V. such as Plein Air Magazine, Splash 24: The Best of Watercolor Magazine, Napa’s Spotlight Magazine, Magnolia Network, Napa Valley Register, KCRA3 News and others. Wyn loves to spend time with his family, play guitar, and enjoy the great outdoors.

Why do GCWS members get a discount?
Members are loyal supporters of the Society and receive discounts for a variety of programs, including our Annual Watercolor Show. If you become a member now, you too can receive this discount!
Is lunch served during the workshop?
There will be a 1-hour lunch break.
Tuition does not include lunch. Arrangements will be made to order box lunches from a local restaurant. Please bring additional cash for lunch if you wish to participate.
What is your cancellation policy?
By completing your registration transaction, you agree to accept the following cancellation policy: Cancellation requests need to be emailed directly to info@greatercincinnatiwatercolorsociety.org. You will receive a full refund if you cancel at least 1 week in advance. There is NO refund for any reason if you cancel within 1 week prior to or during the class. There are no refunds for missed days, early departure, or no-shows. If GCWS or the instructor cancels the class, you will receive a full refund of the tuition.
What is your promotional policy?
GCWS reserves the right to take and use photographs, video, and/or quotes from workshops, instructors, or participants for use in advertising or promotional materials without notice or compensation.
