Experience painting in the great outdoors! Be sure to reserve your spot!
This meeting will be a paint-out event! Bring your portable paint gear and experience the joys of painting outside!
GCWS member Adele DiMinno is an award-winning artist who paints outdoors regularly. She will be our Plein Air Coordinator and provide expert guidance of what to bring and what to do in the field.
This event is for members only. If you are a member, you will be contacted with event details and to sign up.
Here is my set-up which except for the chairs, I carry in a backpack:
- A camp chair
- Umbrella folding chair
- Brushes in a folding compact
- Paint in folding pallett
- Water container – mine fits into the drink holder on the chair
- Water
- Small sketch pad, pencils, charcoal, whatever you prefer
- Watercolor block
- Paper towels
- Phone/camera
Also you might want to bring:
- Water or a drink for yourself
- Snack
- Brimmed hat
- Sunscreen
- Bug repellent
- A viewfinder (or you could use your hands)
- Umbrella
