MINUTES - August 7, 2019
Kathy Lang, filling in for Pat Lester, called the meeting of the Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society to order.
The first news on the agenda was a message from Pat. She is hoping to be out of rehab shortly and will be recovering at home. Amy Giglio Earls will be passing an original card around for all to sign and thanks to Amy.
Diana Marra reported she will be showing her paintings at the Kentucky Art Center in Berea, KY. She will also be offering classes in Asian brush stroke techniques.
Judy Reed is entered in the Middletown Art Center Show. She reported that entry deadline is September 5th should anyone decide to participate.
Debbie Cannatella reports that there are 2 openings for the fall workshop, taught by Chris Krupinski, September 20 through 22nd.

Kathy Lang asked if anyone would be interested in joining the Cincinnati Art Club for a joint art show possibly in September or if not then, in October. After further discussion and investigation into this opportunity, we will decide at the next meeting'
It was reported that our member Gary Brooks has been busy with classes with the Arts Connect group as well as the Anderson Watercolor group.
Diane Jeffries introduced our scholarship winner, Miss Clare Flath. Clare received a check for $500.00 and is considered a paid member of our society for a year and was invited to our reception at the Barn. She was most appreciative, explaining her journey through her artwork and assured us that she will be happy to join us at the reception.
Amy Giglio Earls reported on the show and was most appreciative of the support shown. She reported that everyone in the show has volunteered in some way to make it a success.Times the Barn is open and reception hours was reviewed. Members were encouraged to attend.
