GCWS Member Meeting - February 2024

Members and visitors returned to ArtsConnect for our February meeting. President Jim Warner began the business portion of the meeting with a warm welcome to returning and new members, and a reminder of the future events coming up!  As a prelude to next month's meeting, Jim did a very interesting  'show and tell' of his own recent paintings.  At the March meeting, members are invited to bring their own watercolor projects, recently finished or in progress, to show and receive constructive and helpful feedback.

Andrea Walker, a local artist and brand ambassador for Holbein & Legion Paper, then conducted a hands-on art materials workshop for all attendees. Andrea explained the characteristics of the papers, paints, mediums, and brushes offered by both companies, and demonstrated watercolor, gouache, acrylic gouache, and various watercolor mediums. We all had an opportunity to experiment with the paints and papers, and went home with samples as well!
