Our judge this year was Chris Krupinski, AWS - DF, NWS

The following are winners from our annual show.

painting of trees with yellow leaves — FIRST PLACE: Heidi Hanssen - Autumn Aspens Judge's Comments: "The composition is just wonderful. The values from warm to cool are so nice!"

painting of whole and sliced radishes — SECOND PLACE: Marcia Hartsock - Red Radishes Judge's Comments: "Beautiful composition: beautiful negative shapes, shadows, repetition of ovals, great design."

painting of man playing with dominos — THIRD PLACE: Tom Schroeder - Cohiba Boneyard Judge's Comments: "I like the story of the painting and the simplicity of the subject. I can see the cigar smoker thinking. The smoke was nicely painted."

red onions painting — HONORABLE MENTION: Keith Shebesta - Market Red Onions Judge's Comments: "I love the colors used. It was painted beautifully."

abstract blue and white painting — HONORABLE MENTION: Claudia Taylor - Beyond the Boundary Judge's Comments: "I liked the limited palette. The painting keeps the eye moving into the focal point. There was an excellent repetition of pattern."

creek in snow painting — HONORABLE MENTION: Adele DiMinno - Darby Creek Judge's Comments: "I liked the spontaneity of the painting. The blues capture the coldness of the snow. I liked the warm contrast. I liked the high horizon."

wagons under roof painting — HONORABLE MENTION: Gary Brooks - Raking Light Judge's Comments: "Use of the blue in the wagon stands out; and yet, is not in your face. There was a strong sense of value. I loved the complements."
